Finding out the gender or not and MY BABY’S GENDER REVEALED!!

Some of you may be debating on whether or not you want to find out the gender of your little one. I always prefer to find out because I need something to get me through pregnancy. Plus, I have no patience and I like to plan stuff. If you are still up in the air at your anatomy scan you can always have the tech put the gender in an envelope for you so you can decide at a later date. There are lots of fun ways that you can reveal the gender to your family and friends. Some people choose to have a gender reveal party where they decorate with either pink or blue or maybe the inside of the cake is either pink or blue. Sometimes couples even keep themselves in the dark and just take the envelope to the baker and have them put the color inside. That way they find out right along with their friends and family. You could also stage a cute photo and send to family and friends or post on facebook/twitter. There are TONS of cute ideas on pinterest. I’m so impatient that I called my family and close friends right after leaving the doctor’s office.  🙂

The fun can really begin now… 20 weeks is a great time to start planning baby’s nursery or registering for gifts for your baby shower (if this is your first). If you chose to find out the gender then it will give you a better idea of what to register for or how you want to make baby’s nursery. It is such a great way to celebrate making it halfway through your pregnancy. I celebrated after each of my anatomy scans by going out to shop for a baby item. Last night I went and found a few super cute BOY outfits!! YAY! 😉 I have to admit that when the ultrasound tech asked me to guess when she revealed the baby’s genitals on the screen, I guessed girl. Ha.. I never have any idea what I am looking at! She said.. uhmm no hunny that’s a penis. OOPS!

I had a very strong feeling that it was a boy and even referenced to him as a him several times. However, I thought my daughter was a boy as well so I wasn’t too sure of my mommy intuition. Anyone else correct about their intuition?

I told my 16 month old daughter that she was going to have a baby brother and she said “Yeah!” Then I asked her what she wanted to name him and she said “MoMo.” lol Where does this girl get these things from?

I am so unbelievably blessed to have my little girl and now my little boy on the way. Words cannot express my happiness. I have always wanted one of each and thank God it happened with two. I don’t know that I could make it through another pregnancy.
